Welcome to the new TangoSource.com

Welcome to the new TangoSource blog. It's been a bit over a year since TangoSource was founded, and to say that we've learned a lot is an understatement. We've learned more about how to help structure projects to ensure customer success, and have been grappling with a product of our own that we're about to do a soft launch of. Overall, TangoSource has been a story about people, as most really interesting stories are. We recently had our first employee's one year anniversary, and seeing where he started and how he's grown is gratifying. I hope that our growth mirrors that.

What's currently on my mind is understanding core values, Each of us goes through life trying to find our unique voice, a place in the world. For me, my desire to explore and discover is a driving factor. At its best, a business deeply fulfills our needs. For that to happen, first we must know ourselves despite the inundation of messages that we're exposed to. Next, we must see reality as objectively as possible, before choosing to affect change. In my experience, helping others build their businesses has been gratifying, especially in the face of what's currently available in outsourcing. I want to challenge the idea that it's necessary to charge ridiculous multiples of a businesses' cost for billable hours. At the same time, I'm passionate about connecting with customers honestly and personally, and delivering a great product.

The basic path seems obvious, but by focusing on nurturing new technical leaders as the years move forward, I think TangoSource can genuinely make a difference. The culture of innovation is key here, and I think that it's possible to structure employee's schedules to encourage it. We're going to start with 10% free time to work on any project that employees want to try to grow. The number of technologies coming out now that foster faster, cheaper, and higher quality product launches is astounding. Giving people the chance to play around with a diverse mix of technologies makes me excited to see what the future will bring. So, welcome to the new TangoSource blog, we'll be talking about Ruby on Rails, outsourcing, business, and technology. Let's get the conversation started.
